La bohème by Giacomo Puccini Sung in Italian with English surtitles Runtime: 180 minutes including interval Coade Hall Theatre, Bryanston, Blandford Forum DT11 0PX Everyone knows the tragic love story of Puccini’s La bohème. It’s a classic operatic weepie. Four poor students share a room in a garret. To keep warm they burn the furniture and Rodolfo’s play! When Rodolfo’s friend go off to the Latin Quarter to celebrate Christmas, he is left alone. Mimi arrives looking for a light for her candle. The two of them instantly fall in love. But Rodolfo is jealous and Mimi is ill. Before long, they part only to be brought back together in the final act - alas, too late… The Dorset Opera Festival - in its 45th year - is the only organisation in the South West offering live Grand Opera in a country house setting. It features internationally renowned soloists, a chorus of up to 80, and a full orchestra. It offers a large marquee bar, stand-alone picnic pavilions seating up to 10, individual picnic hampers, a 4-course dinner on 27 & 28 July and full afternoon tea at the matinee on 28 July.

The band: Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, Dominic Howard Muse, the world renowned multi-platinum selling and multi-award winning band, embarked on their ambitious Drones World Tour in 2015-16, playing over 130 dates across the globe. Known for pushing boundaries in terms of their stage production the tour saw the band perform “in the round” from the middle of the arena, with the stage design and configuration giving fans a full 360 degree audio/visual sensory experience. Central to the tour’s visuals were the Drones, which flew autonomously above the stage and across the audience, alongside giant projections which interacted with the band members on stage. This spectacle, featuring LEDs and lasers perfectly complimented the band’s celebrated repertoire. Key songs performed on the tour included “Psycho”, “Madness”, “Uprising”, “Plug in Baby”, “Supermassive Black Hole” and Knights of Cydonia.” Filmed and recorded over multiple shows the concert movie includes never before seen special effects along with an exclusive insight from the band in the introduction. The New York Times has described the Muse live experience as “an endless build-up, heading for one peak after another — is what a Muse concert sets out to deliver by every means available.” Here, we find the band at the height of their powers, creating an unforgettable fan experience that demands to be seen on the big screen. Tickets: £15, Concessions £12
