Accessibility

Our aim at the Regent Theatre is to provide first-class entertainment that can be enjoyed by the largest audience possible and we are continually striving to achieve this goal.

Discounts for Disabled people and Companions

If you receive a disability allowance or incapacity benefit, you may purchase a ticket at the concession discount, if available. Please note there may be some performances when there are no concessions available.

If you need somebody to be present to assist you then they too can qualify for a concession discount.

Wheelchair spaces and discounted companion seats cannot be purchased online. Please contact the Box Office by phone on 01202 499199 or in person to discuss your requirements.

Facilities for Wheelchair users

We offer 4 spaces in the Stalls.  If you need somebody to be present to assist you then they can qualify for a concessional rate.  If you use a wheelchair and wish to transfer to a seat, we regret we may not be able to provide a member of staff to help you.

An accessible entrance is located to the side of the theatre, giving direct access into the auditorium.  The entrance opens 1 hour before a performance, although you may have to wait in the foyer for the auditorium to open.  You may enter the foyer from the front of the theatre and if you are wheelchair bound will need to use our 2 chair lifts to bring you up to the auditorium level.  Our volunteers and/or operations staff will be happy to assist you.

Unfortunately other areas, such as the Circle and Circle Bar are inaccessible due to our 1931 Art Deco building not being designed with this in mind.

Accessible toilets

There is a fully accessible toilet available in our upper foyer.

Accessible parking

Disabled parking bays are situated in the Wick lane car park adjacent to our theatre.

Facilities for customers who are deaf or have hearing impairments

The auditorium is fitted with 2 assisted hearing systems.  A Loop systems where you can set your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position and an Infra-red amplification system where you can request a necklace and headset.  Our technical staff will assist you in setting this up and checking before the performance begins.

A limited number of 'Booster' seats are available from our Box Office for children during performances.
