Award-winning play ‘Visitors’ by Barney Norris will be toured by Impact Theatre this spring. ‘Visitors’ made its debut in the West End in 2014 and Norris garnered much praise for a work that depicts the challenges of marriage in old age with a level of sensitivity and understanding unexpected from a playwright in his twenties. Set in rural Salisbury, ‘Visitors’ is a warm and gentle play dealing with the difficulties of ageing in the family and the agonising speed with which time passes. Director Patricia Richardson says, “We’re always on the lookout for exceptional plays at Impact, and we were drawn to Visitors because it contains those magic ingredients of relationships, love and humour, wrapped up in authenticity. We’re working very hard to ensure our production is both entertaining and relatable, so audiences can look forward to a wonderful evening’s entertainment. Tickets: £12, Concessions: £11

BBLOC are thrilled to be returning to the Regent Centre with their most revealing show to date! Based on the cult hit film of the same name, The Full Monty, a ten-time Tony Award nominee, is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show. The powerhouse team of Terrence McNally (Ragtime) and David Yazbek (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) cook up a real crowd-pleaser that both entertains and grabs your heart. While spying on their wives at a girls' night out, a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo see how much they enjoy watching male strippers. Jealous, out of work and feeling emasculated, the men come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed; not merely physically but emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices, the men come to discover that they're stronger as a group, and the strength that they find in each other gives them the individual courage to ‘Let It Go.’ The Full Monty is a story full of heart. With a raucous mix of razor-sharp humour and toe-tapping pizzazz, this heartwarming, upbeat musical comedy is a must see! WARNING: This show contains strong language and nudity. Parental guidance is advised due to adult content. Tickets: £16.50, Concessions: £15.50 50p from every ticket will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK

MILTON MUSICAL SOCIETY present their 50th Anniversary production Hailed by critics and audiences for its heart and wit, My Fair Lady is a beautiful musical about transformation, patronage, gender politics and class, based on George Bernard Shaw’s play, ‘Pygmalion’. Acclaimed Professor and confirmed bachelor Henry Higgins makes a wager with his linguistic colleague Colonel Pickering that in six months he can pass off “gutter snipe” Eliza Doolittle as a duchess at an embassy ball. Through arduous training, day and night, Eliza learns how to speak English “properly,” and transforms into a lady respected and adored by all classes, as she bewitches young Freddy Eynsford-Hill, and convinces a supposed linguistics expert that she is royalty. Through her transformation, Eliza forges a deep connection with Colonel Pickering and most especially with Professor Higgins. Now too refined to go back to her old life and not with any means or desire to live life as a lady of leisure – when Higgins fails to acknowledge Eliza’s role in her own transformation, she leaves his home. It is only then that Higgins realises that he cares deeply for Eliza. The show ends ambiguously, yet it is beloved for being both one of the cleverest and one of the most romantic musicals of all time. This multi-award winning musical features songs such as: Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?’, ‘Rain in Spain’, ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’, ‘On the Street Where You Live’, ‘Get Me to the Church on Time’, and ‘I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face’. Tickets: Wed 18th April: All seats £14 All other performances: £16, Concessions £15 (50p of every ticket goes to the Regent Centre Development Fund)

Among the passengers heading for England on the luxury liner SS American are Reno Sweeney, a sometime celebrity evangelist turned nightclub entertainer and Lord Oakleigh, a wealthy English aristocrat, accompanied by his debutante fiancée, Hope Harcourt, her protective mother and Wall Street millionaire, Eli Whitney. Less legally on board are the stowaway Billy Crocker, desperately pursuing Hope, and Moonface Martin, Public Enemy Number Thirteen, desperately seeking the kind of notoriety enjoyed by Snake Eyes Johnson, whom the FBI believe to be making the trip in disguise. The first golden age of American musical comedy in the 1930s produced a crop of masterworks from the Gershwins, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter. Their content was intentionally and exuberantly light-hearted, with farcical plots concerning highly satirised characters, but they nonetheless presented musical scores of exquisite sophistication and elegance. For their first excursion into this richly endowed territory, Bournemouth Musical Theatre Productions has chosen Cole Porter's 'Anything Goes'. The fabulous tune-filled, dance-peppered score includes 'I Get A Kick Out of You', 'You're The Top', 'It's De-Lovely', 'Blow', 'Gabriel', 'Blow', 'You'd Be So Easy To Love', 'All Through The Night' and the galvanic title number 'Anything Goes', which in both music and lyric so captures the spirit of the age. Directed by James Dixon-Box Musical Direction by James Stead Tickets: £15.50, Concessions: £14.50
