Michael Grandage, Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse, made his long-awaited operatic debut directing Benjamin Britten’s Billy Budd at Glyndebourne this summer, to widespread critical acclaim. Sir Mark Elder conducted this opera for the first time, marking his 100th operatic production in his illustrious musical career.
