Helen O'Grady Drama Academy - Taking to the Stage (A)

3rd July 2010

Find More: Amateur Production, Theatre, By Young People

In a culmination of a lot of hard work and a lot of fun, children from the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy are performing their end of year shows. The skills they have learnt will be transferred to their shows. They will demonstrate how their vocal training develops clear, articulate speech, with lots of expression. Creative performance skills will be evident as the children include strong, relevant ad-libbing and clear characterisation. Lower Primary (5 to 8 year olds) will take to the stage first with their delightful plays – Chicken Hearted Fox and How The Lion Got His Roar. This will be followed by Upper Primary (9 to 11 years) with Maximum Speed and Storyland, then Youth Theatre with A Slice of Life, which is aimed at students of secondary school age.
