Following his 2015 sell out show, Michael Portillo returns to the Regent Centre by popular demand! It took Michael Portillo little more than 10 years to get a seat in the Commons and then rise in power and esteem to a point where he was a favoured leader of his party and possible future PM. A track record like that suggests a privileged friend of the rich and famous ,but since leaving the house almost a decade ago Michael has endeared himself to many with his obvious respect for solid workmanship as found in our great Victorian Railways and the daily life of ordinary hard working citizens. Listen to his story, told with more than a touch of dry wit, and then feel free to question him about it. Runtime: 90 minutes. Please note there is no interval. Tickets: £18.00 (50p of every ticket is a donation to the Regent Centre Development Fund)

BBLOC are thrilled to be returning to the Regent Centre with their most revealing show to date! Based on the cult hit film of the same name, The Full Monty, a ten-time Tony Award nominee, is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show. The powerhouse team of Terrence McNally (Ragtime) and David Yazbek (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) cook up a real crowd-pleaser that both entertains and grabs your heart. While spying on their wives at a girls' night out, a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo see how much they enjoy watching male strippers. Jealous, out of work and feeling emasculated, the men come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed; not merely physically but emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices, the men come to discover that they're stronger as a group, and the strength that they find in each other gives them the individual courage to ‘Let It Go.’ The Full Monty is a story full of heart. With a raucous mix of razor-sharp humour and toe-tapping pizzazz, this heartwarming, upbeat musical comedy is a must see! WARNING: This show contains strong language and nudity. Parental guidance is advised due to adult content. Tickets: £16.50, Concessions: £15.50 50p from every ticket will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK

MILTON MUSICAL SOCIETY present their 50th Anniversary production Hailed by critics and audiences for its heart and wit, My Fair Lady is a beautiful musical about transformation, patronage, gender politics and class, based on George Bernard Shaw’s play, ‘Pygmalion’. Acclaimed Professor and confirmed bachelor Henry Higgins makes a wager with his linguistic colleague Colonel Pickering that in six months he can pass off “gutter snipe” Eliza Doolittle as a duchess at an embassy ball. Through arduous training, day and night, Eliza learns how to speak English “properly,” and transforms into a lady respected and adored by all classes, as she bewitches young Freddy Eynsford-Hill, and convinces a supposed linguistics expert that she is royalty. Through her transformation, Eliza forges a deep connection with Colonel Pickering and most especially with Professor Higgins. Now too refined to go back to her old life and not with any means or desire to live life as a lady of leisure – when Higgins fails to acknowledge Eliza’s role in her own transformation, she leaves his home. It is only then that Higgins realises that he cares deeply for Eliza. The show ends ambiguously, yet it is beloved for being both one of the cleverest and one of the most romantic musicals of all time. This multi-award winning musical features songs such as: Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?’, ‘Rain in Spain’, ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’, ‘On the Street Where You Live’, ‘Get Me to the Church on Time’, and ‘I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face’. Tickets: Wed 18th April: All seats £14 All other performances: £16, Concessions £15 (50p of every ticket goes to the Regent Centre Development Fund)
