The Crucible is an absolute classic that won the Best Play Tony award in 1953 for Arthur Miller. It is set around the infamous Salem Witch Trials in Massachusetts during 1692. The plot highlights the hysteria that hit the New England colonies and was viewed as a veiled condemnation of the anti communist witch hunt conducted by the notorious Senator Joseph McCarthy during the 50s. This is a gripping historical tale of puritanical purges and is a warning to contemporary society of the dangers of authoritarian bigotry. The lies of a malicious young servant girl are enough to arouse a whole town against 19 innocent people. The ensuing trial is an edge of the seat affair in which a one way trip to the gallows looks like the inevitable verdict.

Errol Kennedy was one of the three original members of the 80s soul/funk band, Imagination. Their first hit single, Body Talk, spent 18 weeks in the UK charts. It was quickly followed by two more chart toppers, In and Out of Love and Flashback. Their Body Talk album went platinum and their next single, Just An Illusion, reached No. 2 in the chart. During the 1980s they performed before Princess Diana at The Albert Hall and for Princess Grace in Monaco. Though the band split in 1987 Errol Kennedy continued to tour with Odyssey, Shalamar and Rose Royce.
