Set sail with the award-winning Highcliffe Charity Players as they celebrate their 50th birthday in suitably ‘golden’ style, with a special treasure-filled summer panto full of fun and surprises. This swashbuckling one-act adventure sees our courageous heroes Jim and Felicity, Jim’s outrageous mother, Ma Hawkins, and a host of other characters, on a quest for buried treasure. But ‘X’ marks the spot, you say? If only it were that easy! For Jim and the gang are pursued by the treacherous Long John Silver and his band of pirates who are determined to have the treasure all for themselves… whatever the cost! So it’s all aboard the good ship ‘Hispaniola’ for another slick, fast-moving HCP production with the usual magical quota of music, mayhem, slapstick humour, and plenty of audience participation. (Oh yes you will!) Panto gold for a golden anniversary! Download your complimentary show programme here Tickets are non refundable or exhangeable unless the event is cancelled. Simon Evans’ last show, Genius 2.0 (★★★★★ “A Masterclass” The Scotsman) provided an hilarious analysis of the departure of any visible sign of intelligence from modern life. But his new show raises the stakes, with his usual excoriating views of a world on fire given a perspective shift from personal revelations that turned his world upside down this year. Simon Evans is the star of Live at the Apollo, Mock The Week, BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz, The Unbelievable Truth & Simon Evans Goes To Market. Simon has made appearances on This Week, Question Time, Celebrity Mastermind, Pointless Celebrities and Mastermind The Professionals. “A gripping and, ultimately heart-warming tale rich with Evans' wit and caustic observation.” (★★★★The Scotsman).   “You expect a high standard of stand-up from this veteran performer. But in sharing something so deeply personal, he’s exceeded what seemed to be his full potential… I’d expect it to get even better when it goes out on tour. Outstanding stuff.” ( ★★★★ ½ Chortle).  Tickets: £16, Concessions £14 (includes a £1 donation to the Regent Centre Development Fund) Age Guidance: Strictly 14+ Likely to be swearing and adult content

One of the most prominent wildlife presenters and filmmakers working today, Gordon Buchannan’s journey is a remarkable story to tell. Having produced some of the most popular wildlife programmes on the BBC, we have been able to see his incredible passion for the animal kingdom and the unique ability he has for presenting such hidden animal worlds to an audience. For the first time, Gordon will be taking a look back at his incredible 30 years working both behind and in front of the camera. This will be a rare opportunity to discover what has continued to drive his career and the landmark stories that take pride of his work. With three decades worth of expeditions to guide us through, this will be the first time Gordon is able to show us his favourite wildlife encounters. The tools and traits he has developed over the years to be at the forefront of wildlife filmmaking. This will be a showcase of both his most celebrated work, and that never seen before, a behind the scenes insight of how these successful programmes are made. Always reflective Gordon Buchanan is taking this opportunity to understand how his time within the wildlife industry has changed and what the future potentially holds for us and the animal kingdom as co inhabitants of our rapidly changing ecological landscape.

What will her 60’s hold for this 1960’s babe and is it a legal requirement to buy Nordic walking poles? PS, ‘I’m carrying quite a lot of excess lock down weight, which you can feel free to discuss behind my back during the interval’. Love Jenny x

Sir Tim Rice, Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus, the collaborators on CHESS, are giants of pop/rock music and rock musicals, and here they have created a complex rock opera that has played to full houses and standing ovations around the world. Set in the cold war era, this musical presented by Milton Musical Society becomes a metaphor for romantic rivalries, competitive gamesmanship, super-power politics, and international intrigues. The pawns in this drama form a love triangle.
