Opening times
The Regent Box Office and Foyer is open Monday to Saturday 10am-3pm. Outside of these times, the foyer will open 30 minutes before each cinema or theatre performance. You can call us on 01202 499199 or contact us via email on admin@theregent.co.uk.
Entry Requirements
- For films we follow the entrance requirements established by the BBFC. More information on the film classifications can be found on the BBFC Website
- Detailed information about the different ratings can be found in this document BBFC Guidelines
- For Theatre and Live Events, we will advertise if any advised Age Rating applies, for any queries please contact us on email at admin@theregent.co.uk or call us on 01202 499199
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the entire duration of their visit to the Regent. They should not be left alone in the building.
Prices
Cinema Tickets
- £9 Standard (17-59 Years Old)
- £8.50 Concessions – (Over 60’s, Under 16’s and Students with a valid Student Card, Blue Light Card Holders, or registered disabled)
- We accept CEA Cards both at the box office and on our website. When booking a CEA ticket online, please click 'Apply E-Ticket and Promotional Code' and enter your code in the box provided to bring up the CEA card option.
- If you require a carer to attend the venue, please let us know when booking your tickets and we will arrange a carers discount. These tickets are only available via the Box Office, in person or over the phone on 01202 499199
Specialist Cinema & Broadcasts
- All performances are individually priced.
- If a performance offers concessions tickets, it applies to the following guests: (Over 60’s, Under 16’s and Students with a valid Student Card, Blue Light Card Holders, or registered disabled)

Live Events
- All performances are individually priced.
- If a performance offers concessions tickets, it applies to the following guests: aged over 60, under 16, and for students with a valid Student Card, or registered disabled, unless a specific concession is listed on the ticket types.
ACCESSIBLE PERFORMANCES
- Subtitled Film Showings: We endeavour to offer a weekly subtitled showing of our most popular films for those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or just prefer subtitles! Check out our upcoming subtitled screenings here.
- Relaxed Performances: At a Relaxed Performance, changes are made to the show and auditorium to create a more accessible experience for some audience members, including people with sensory sensitivities, autistic people and people with learning disabilities. During a Relaxed Performance, house lights will remain on and people are free to go in and out of the auditorium during the show. Some technical changes may also be made to the show – this can include quieter music, reducing loud or surprising sound effects and avoiding strobe lighting.
- BSL Signed Performances: This type of performance features a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter who interprets the dialogue on stage as it is being performed to aid those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Food and Drink
- We have three services points for Food and Beverage.
- Cafe located in the Mid Foyer, Bar in the Upper Foyer and Circle Bar located half way up the circle stairs. Not all bars are open for every showing.
- We have wonderful selection of refreshments at our Cafe and Foyer Bar.
- No hot food may be brought into the venue.
- Only alcohol purchased at the venue may be consumed within the venue.
- Any ticket holders who bring their own alcohol into the venue will be refused entry / removed, and a refund of tickets will not be offered.
Regent Seating Plan and access

- We have 505 seats at the Regent.
- We have 152 in the circle and 353 in the stalls (4 access spaces over two bays).
- The circle is located up two flights of stairs is NOT step free accessible
- The stalls can be access step free via either Fire Door found either side of Row A. These entrances are at street level. Access via this method must be coordinated with the Front of House Team.
- To enter the auditorium via the Foyer there is two flights of stairs. For which there is stair lift on each. Guest using these lifts must be seated while the lifts are in operation. Once on the second level access to the stalls are step free. The main auditorium is slightly sloped to enable this. The access bays are located at the rear of the Auditorium in Row U.
- Access to the circle is via two more flights of stairs and then is raked with steps down once at circle level.
- Seats AA1-4 and 17-20 are restricted leg room due to the curve of the balcony. Anyone over 5 foot 11 could find these seats uncomfortable. Although they do provide a fantastic view. The leg room decreases as the seats reach either wall.
