Set sail with the award-winning Highcliffe Charity Players as they celebrate their 50th birthday in suitably ‘golden’ style, with a special treasure-filled summer panto full of fun and surprises. This swashbuckling one-act adventure sees our courageous heroes Jim and Felicity, Jim’s outrageous mother, Ma Hawkins, and a host of other characters, on a quest for buried treasure. But ‘X’ marks the spot, you say? If only it were that easy! For Jim and the gang are pursued by the treacherous Long John Silver and his band of pirates who are determined to have the treasure all for themselves… whatever the cost! So it’s all aboard the good ship ‘Hispaniola’ for another slick, fast-moving HCP production with the usual magical quota of music, mayhem, slapstick humour, and plenty of audience participation. (Oh yes you will!) Panto gold for a golden anniversary! Download your complimentary show programme here Tickets are non refundable or exhangeable unless the event is cancelled. In 2013, the world was introduced to the first family of the prehistoric era, The Croods. The Academy Award®-nominated comedy about a clan dealing with their changing world captivated global audiences, reminding us of the timeless importance of family and just how little we’ve evolved. The Croods have survived their fair share of dangers and disasters, from fanged prehistoric beasts to surviving the end of the world, but now they will face their biggest challenge of all: another family The Croods need a new place to live. So, the first prehistoric family sets off into the world in search of a safer place to call home. When they discover an idyllic walled-in paradise that meets all their needs, they think their problems are solved... except for one thing. Another family already lives there: the Bettermans. The Bettermans (emphasis on the "better") - with their elaborate tree house, amazing inventions and irrigated acres of fresh produce - are a couple of steps above the Croods on the evolutionary ladder. When they take the Croods in as the world's first houseguests, it isn't long before tensions escalate between the cave family and the modern family. Just when all seems lost, a new threat will propel both families on an epic adventure outside the safety of the wall, one that will force them to embrace their differences, draw strength from each other and forge a future together. Tickets: £7.50, Concessions: £7 (Over 60s, Under 16s, Students in full time education, registered disabled) Please note: Tickets are being sold to the current social distancing standards at the time of purchase. Winner of the Oscar for Best International Feature Film and BAFTA for Best Film (Not in the English Language). Another Round reunites Vinterberg, Mikkelsen and Larsen for this intoxicating, BAFTA-winning comedy-drama. A group of four middle-aged teachers are stuck in a rut and desperate to break free from what they see as their stale existence. They decide to embrace the theory that a fulfilled life can be achieved by maintaining a blood alcohol level of 0.05. After an initially promising period they start breaking their own rules, and before long the thin line between being drunk and alcoholic starts to blur. This personal project from Thomas Vinterberg (Festen, The Hunt) - which won Best Film at the BFI London Film Festival - is an acting masterclass from all four leads, and provides both a celebration of euphoria and a warning of excess. With subtitles. Tickets are non refundable or exhangeable unless the event is cancelled. If anyone in your group is unwell in the 10 days before your event, give us a call and we'll try and help you. Simon Evans’ last show, Genius 2.0 (★★★★★ “A Masterclass” The Scotsman) provided an hilarious analysis of the departure of any visible sign of intelligence from modern life. But his new show raises the stakes, with his usual excoriating views of a world on fire given a perspective shift from personal revelations that turned his world upside down this year. Simon Evans is the star of Live at the Apollo, Mock The Week, BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz, The Unbelievable Truth & Simon Evans Goes To Market. Simon has made appearances on This Week, Question Time, Celebrity Mastermind, Pointless Celebrities and Mastermind The Professionals. “A gripping and, ultimately heart-warming tale rich with Evans' wit and caustic observation.” (★★★★The Scotsman).   “You expect a high standard of stand-up from this veteran performer. One of the most prominent wildlife presenters and filmmakers working today, Gordon Buchannan’s journey is a remarkable story to tell. Having produced some of the most popular wildlife programmes on the BBC, we have been able to see his incredible passion for the animal kingdom and the unique ability he has for presenting such hidden animal worlds to an audience. For the first time, Gordon will be taking a look back at his incredible 30 years working both behind and in front of the camera. This will be a rare opportunity to discover what has continued to drive his career and the landmark stories that take pride of his work. With three decades worth of expeditions to guide us through, this will be the first time Gordon is able to show us his favourite wildlife encounters. The tools and traits he has developed over the years to be at the forefront of wildlife filmmaking. This will be a showcase of both his most celebrated work, and that never seen before, a behind the scenes insight of how these successful programmes are made. Always reflective Gordon Buchanan is taking this opportunity to understand how his time within the wildlife industry has changed and what the future potentially holds for us and the animal kingdom as co inhabitants of our rapidly changing ecological landscape.

Having hit 60 (but still a year younger than Madonna), Jenny Eclair AKA ‘The Face of Vagisan’ confronts a new decade of decrepitude. Now that it takes 20 minutes of scrolling down to find her DOB when she’s filling in forms online, should she celebrate or crawl into a hole? What will her 60’s hold for this 1960’s babe and is it a legal requirement to buy Nordic walking poles? PS, ‘I’m carrying quite a lot of excess lock down weight, which you can feel free to discuss behind my back during the interval’. Love Jenny x

Following their highly acclaimed sell out show in 2019, The Manfreds are back! They are considered one of the finest and most respected bands from the ‘60’s era and their numerous hits were not just ‘pop’ songs. Many were R&B based with an undercurrent of jazz - a very unusual but winning combination of playing style and substance. The Manfreds, with original front man, Paul Jones, will be performing many of their hits, including ‘Do Wah Diddy Diddy’, one of the most popular and instantly recognisable songs of the ‘60’s, and still the biggest audience pleaser at their concerts, along with a mix of Jazz and Blues covers and tracks from their individual solo albums.
